Job DescriptionEmployee Relations Manager

Fairfield, CA (100% Onsite)

Our client, a well-established and highly respected California-based organization, is seeking an Employee Relations Manager to lead employee relations initiatives across a multi-location workforce.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead all employee relations activities across the organization
  • Conduct and oversee workplace investigations
  • Partner with managers on performance management, corrective actions, and employee concerns
  • Support ADA accommodations and the interactive process
  • Oversee Workers' Compensation programs and unemployment claims
  • Provide guidance on Leave of Absence administration, including FMLA/CFRA
  • Review employee relations matters and provide risk-based recommendations
  • Analyze trends and recommend proactive solutions to improve employee experience and reduce organizational risk
  • Mentor and supervise HR team members

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on:
  • Employee Relations
  • Workplace Investigations
  • Workers' Compensation
  • Leave of Absence Administration
  • ADA Accommodations & Interactive Process
  • Experience advising managers on complex employee issues
  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience in regulated industries such as banking, financial services, insurance, healthcare, or similar environments

You are a relationship-focused HR professional who can balance empathy, compliance, and business needs. You're comfortable handling sensitive employee matters, navigating complex investigations, and providing confident guidance to leadership while maintaining trust across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being a go-to expert, influencing workplace culture, and leading critical employee relations initiatives.

Location: Fairfield, CA

Schedule: 100% onsite, Monday through Friday

Travel: Minimal local travel (approximately 10%)

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 (potential flexibility for highly qualified candidates)
