We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Dental Assistant/OA to join our team. The ideal candidate will be bilingual, knowledgeable in orthodontics, and willing to travel and work on Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities: - Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures.

  • Prepare and organize treatment areas, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready.
  • Take Xrays as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene and posttreatment care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Assist in the sterilization of instruments and maintenance of equipment.
  • Place brackets on teeth in the correct position with minimal movement needed by the orthodontist.
  • Fit bands, modify as necessary, and cement them securely.
  • Lightcure materials with success.
  • Provide instructions on the use of retainers and face masks.
  • Perform adjustments and follow chart notes accurately.
  • Understand and effectively read the orthodontic tooth numbering system.
  • Scan using the iTero system for digital impressions.
  • Bond attachments as needed and demonstrate knowledge in Invisalign procedures. Work independently with a sense of urgency while maintaining a friendly demeanor with patients.
  • Accurately place wires in the mouth. Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current RDA certification and valid CPR certification.
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Strong knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to different locations.

    Schedule:

    8-hour shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability

    Experience: Orthodontic: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: RDA License (Required) Work Location: Multiple locations
