Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license (state eligibility required)
  • Experience in pediatric populations: early childhood, elementary, or K–12 settings
  • Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education processes
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Flexibility to work with caseloads varying in complexity
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language pathology services to a range of students, adjusting focus according to caseload needs
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and review of IEPs
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
  • Provide guidance to teachers and staff for integrating strategies in the classroom
  • Engage with families to maximize student outcomes
