Job Title: Receiving Clerk I
Job Function: Warehouse
Location: Newark, CA
Reports To: Logistics Supervisor

Job Overview: The Receiving Clerk is responsible for assisting with the physical and administrative tasks required to receive and process materials. This role focuses on learning and executing standard procedures under supervision while maintaining accurate records and supporting the receiving team.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Physical Receiving Tasks:

  • Assist in loading and unloading incoming deliveries.
  • Put away materials following inventory locator systems and traceability requirements.
  • Safely move materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and carts.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized receiving area.
  • Occasionally assist in driving company vehicles for parts pick-up or delivery under supervision.

2. Administrative Receiving Tasks:

  • Process inbound receipts into the inventory system (Oracle) under guidance.
  • Accept deliveries and note damage and discrepancies
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and labels against packing slips.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), ESD, and quality requirements.

3. Team Support:

  • Learn and demonstrate proper work methods.
  • Support team members with material handling tasks.
  • Participate in cross-training and on-the-job learning activities.

Other Duties:

  • Assist with any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Entry-level or up to 1 year of related experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or materials handling.
