We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Technician that performs tasks of substantial variety and complexity requiring broad knowledge of inspection techniques, tools, materials, and equipment. Responds with appropriate corrective and preventive actions to quality issues on the production floor under limited supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A MANUFACTURING QUALITY TECHNICIAN

• Perform first article inspections with extreme accuracy, proficiency, and efficiency.
• Plan, schedule, and execute the metrology lab calibration program.
• Create and update detailed inspection work instructions.
• Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection operations.
• Participate in engineering drawing reviews.
• Serve as lead auditor for internal and external quality audits.
• Conduct functional product testing for root cause evaluation.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues.
• Interface across cross-functional teams to address part defects.
• Coach and review the work of junior-level inspectors.
• Apply SPC principles and software for capability studies, data analysis, and trending.
• Manage and resolve assigned corrective action requests (CARs).

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS FOR A MANUFACTURING QUALITY TECHNICIAN

• AA degree or 2 years of formal technical training with 5 years of quality experience; OR 10 years of progressive quality experience, ideally in a leadership role.
• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) required. Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) to interpret instructions and produce reports.
• Ability to read bills of materials (BOMs) and complex engineering specifications.
• Proficient in using hand tools, advanced inspection instruments, and test set-ups.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, inspection principles, calibration, and SPC tools.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Physical capability to sit, stoop, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
• Willingness for international travel if requested.
