This full-time Special Education Teacher position offers a contract role servicing a caseload of 28 or fewer students with mild to moderate needs. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience working with mild/moderate special education populations
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Comfort with individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs
- Flexibility for on-site work, with potential for virtual (VOCO) opportunities if needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction based on IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with general education staff, support professionals, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans
- Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Implement evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions
