Forklift Operator

Location: Oakland, CA

Pay Rate: $24.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Assignment Type: 3-Month Contract

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join a busy metal recycling facility in Oakland. This role will primarily involve operating a sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, and organize metal materials throughout the yard and warehouse areas. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an industrial environment and committed to maintaining safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

Operate a sit-down forklift to transport metal materials throughout the facility.
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
Move, stack, and organize recyclable metal products in designated areas.
Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Assist with general yard and warehouse duties as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

Previous sit-down forklift experience required.
Ability to work safely in an industrial or recycling environment.
Experience loading and unloading materials preferred.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Ability to lift, bend, and work outdoors as needed.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
