We are seeking a Commercial Journeyman Electrician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems while ensuring all work meets the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical wiring, conduits, panels, switches, and fixtures in commercial buildings.
- Diagnose system failures, faulty wiring, and circuit breakdowns using multimeters, voltmeters, and other testing devices.
- Repair or replace damaged electrical components and perform routine maintenance inspections.
- Interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and architectural plans to map electrical layouts.
- Ensure completed work complies with the NEC and applicable local building regulations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years of commercial electrical experience.
- Valid electrical license as a Journeyman Electrician or other licensed electrical professional.
- High school diploma and completion of a 4- to 5-year electrical apprenticeship program, or approximately 8,000 hours of on-the-job training.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, lift equipment weighing over 50 pounds, and work in varied weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and personal hand tools.
