Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
This temporary assignment focuses on assembly, The role involves building a substantial mechanical frame, approximately six feet tall, using 80/20 components and a variety of hand and power tools in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical assembly tasks.
- Perform general labor tasks associated with mechanical assembly, including positioning, fastening, and securing components.
- Read and interpret blueprints or mechanical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and alignment.
- Inspect assembled structures for proper fit, alignment, and mechanical integrity, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures in a manufacturing warehouse setting.
- Handle and move parts and materials, including lifting items up to 50 pounds as required by the project.
Essential Skills
- Proven aptitude for hands-on mechanical work and mechanical assembly.
- Experience assembling large mechanical structures or frames.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Capability to read and follow blueprints or assembly drawings.
- Ability to perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing environment.
- Physically able to stand on feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with 80/20 or similar modular framing systems.
- mechanical assembly within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Comfort working on temporary, project-based assignments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to assembling components accurately.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Emeryville, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
