Nexiya is seeking a motivated Accounting professional with Accounts Receivable experience. This individual will fill the role of Accountant I, providing crucial support to our client who is a major utility company in downtown Los Angeles. This role is ideal for early-career accounting professionals with strong Excel skills and hands-on experience in AR processes. The position will play a key role in supporting billing, invoicing, and reconciliation efforts—particularly related to damage claims tied to company assets. This is a mostly remote work opportunity after initial onsite training but still requires the candidate to be local. (LA Metro)

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to billing activities
- Perform general ledger (GL) account reconciliations
- Support accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections tied to damage claims
- Assist in resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Provide guidance on cost accounting-related matters
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely processing
- Utilize SAP modules for financial transactions and reporting
- Analyze data and build reports using advanced Excel functions
- Additional duties as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or 4–5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable, preferably within construction or utilities industries
- CPA certification is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
- Experience working with SAP (multiple modules preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be a highly organized individual with strong attention to detail
- Must be able to successfully pass our background screening process
- Candidate must be eligible to work in the US

Pay Range:
Min: $25/hour
Max: $32/hour
