Role Description The Pipefitter role at Amerifab Welding is a full-time, on-site position based in Turlock, CA. The Pipefitter will install, assemble, and maintain piping systems, including cutting, threading, and fitting pipes according to specifications, drawings, and codes. Daily responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and isometric drawings, laying out pipe routes, preparing materials, and performing welds as needed to complete steam and process piping systems. The role also involves inspecting existing systems, performing repairs, and working closely with welders and other team members to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality installations. The Pipefitter is expected to follow all safety procedures, maintain tools and equipment, and support project timelines and productivity goals.

Qualifications

- Strong pipe and pipefitting skills, including layout, cutting, threading, and installation of various piping systems.
- Proficiency in welding techniques, with experience in TIG welding for precision pipe welds.
- Experience working with steam and industrial piping systems, including knowledge of relevant codes and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations, PPE use, and safe work practices in industrial and construction environments.
- Physical ability to lift materials, work at heights or in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods as required by the job.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate tasks with supervisors and co-workers.
- Prior experience as a pipefitter or industrial welder; vocational training or relevant certifications are preferred.
