Make a genuine impact as a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing working with students across a diverse school district near San Francisco, CA. This contract position offers the chance to collaborate with students from early childhood through transition ages, supporting their success in a primarily consultative, itinerant role. As the sole DHH teacher on assignment, your expertise will facilitate inclusive learning experiences for DHH students districtwide.

What We’re Seeking:

  • Valid DHH teaching credential and CTC required
  • Proven experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in school environments
  • Strong consultative and collaborative skills
  • Flexibility and confidence in an itinerant role
  • Ability to travel between multiple school sites
  • Commitment through the 2026–2027 academic year (August 11, 2026 to June 2, 2027)
  • Excellent communication with students, staff, and families

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative support for DHH students, educators, and families districtwide
  • Travel to multiple locations, with the majority of schools based in Richmond area
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
  • Serve as the primary resource on DHH instructional strategies and accommodations
  • Monitor student progress, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusion across all educational settings
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required
