Job Details:
\n
• Work 5x8 hour shifts Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
\n• Minimum 1 year of experience required
\n• First-time travelers accepted
\n• Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
\n• California Physical Therapy license required and must be in hand prior to start
\n• Required certification: BLS
\n• Epic charting system experience preferred
\n• Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
\n• Provide physical therapy services across acute care settings including ER, ICU, and Medical Surgical units
\n• Treat a variety of diagnoses including total hip replacement, total knee replacement, CABG, general surgery, fractures, and general medical conditions
\n• Perform evaluations, reassessments, and develop plans of care and short-term goals
\n• Deliver home exercise programs and patient and family education
\n• Assist with gait training using assistive devices including standard walkers, crutches, and gait belts
\n• Monitor vital signs, assess pain, and evaluate skin integrity
\n• Assist with lifting, transfers, and body mechanics
\n• Work with patients managing conditions such as COPD, CHF, myocardial infarction, post-stroke rehabilitation, hip fractures, and knee injuries
\n• Perform AROM, AAROM, and PROM techniques
\n• Scrub color: Navy blue
\n• Free parking available
\n• Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
\n• Travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state

This is a 212-bed acute care hospital serving as a small, community-based facility offering a full range of services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and provides a collaborative interdisciplinary care environment. Free parking is available on-site for all staff.
