This contract role offers up to 40 hours a week working across both elementary and secondary sites, assisting students with a range of needs. Begin as soon as possible and continue through the anticipated end of October, offering your valuable expertise while the district completes their permanent hire process.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Previous experience working in schools preferred
- Comfortable supporting mild/moderate to extensive student needs
- Ability to thrive in both elementary and secondary campus environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and caseloads
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Delivering direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Traveling 3.5 days per week to an elementary school site, working with populations ranging from mild/moderate to extensive needs
- Serving 1.5 days per week at a secondary school site
- Evaluating students, completing documentation, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary school teams
- Supporting teachers and families with resources and strategies for student success in the classroom
- Maintaining timely and accurate student records
