Job Description

Mechanical Engineer (CAD and Product Design)
Stealthy North Bay Counter-Drone Start-Up | Geyserville, CA (Onsite)

We're a stealthy North Bay start-up building counter-drone technology, and we're at the very beginning. We're a small group of people who like making things happen, and we move fast. There's no red tape and no endless meetings. You'll work directly with leadership and engineers who want you to succeed, and the designs you create will go from your screen to the bench to the field. If you've ever wanted to help shape a product from the ground up, this is that chance, and it doesn't come around often.

Now we're looking for a mechanical engineer who loves design, takes ownership, and wants to see their work get built and tested.

What Your Day Looks Like

  • Designing and developing mechanical components, enclosures, structures, and assemblies in 3D CAD
  • Taking concepts from sketch to prototype to a design that's ready to build
  • Creating and maintaining models, drawings, and bills of materials
  • Working with electrical and systems engineers to integrate hardware into the overall design
  • Running tolerance, thermal, and structural analysis to make sure designs hold up in the real world
  • Sourcing parts and working with machine shops, fabricators, and suppliers
  • Building, testing, and fixing prototypes, and using what you learn to improve the next version
  • Supporting range and field testing as needed
  • Documenting your designs, changes, and test results clearly and on time

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...

  • Have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Have about 5 years of hands-on experience designing mechanical hardware, ideally for a product that was built and tested
  • Are strong in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or similar) and creating clear, accurate drawings
  • Understand design for manufacturing, materials, tolerances, and fabrication methods
  • Are comfortable getting your hands dirty on the bench and in the shop
  • Can work independently, think through problems, and ask for help when it matters
  • Take pride in quality work and pay attention to the details
  • Like a fast-moving environment where you'll wear more than one hat
  • Have experience with RF, antenna, or radar hardware, or with aerospace, defense, or drone work (a plus, not a must)

The Good Stuff

  • Full-time, onsite in Geyserville
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid vacation, and paid sick leave
  • Real ownership of your designs from day one
  • A ground floor opportunity with a small, driven team building something new
