We are looking for an Associate Attorney to join a respected litigation practice in California. This opportunity is suited for a licensed attorney with at least 1 year of experience who is confident managing insurance defense matters and contributing to a broad civil litigation caseload. The role offers exposure to personal injury, construction, business, and liability-related disputes while working alongside an established legal team in a detail-oriented, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage insurance defense and civil litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution.

• Prepare persuasive motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal filings in support of case strategy.

• Conduct written discovery, evaluate responses, and coordinate document review to develop factual records.

• Take and defend depositions while working closely with clients, witnesses, and experts.

• Handle matters involving personal injury, construction disputes, business claims, premises liability, negligence matters, transportation issues, product-related claims, and real estate litigation.

• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings as needed.

• Collaborate with partners and legal staff to assess risk, refine litigation strategy, and advance client objectives.

• Support trial preparation activities, including organizing exhibits, witness materials, and case analyses when matters proceed toward trial.

• Active license to practice law in good standing.

• At least 1 year of experience in civil litigation, with insurance defense experience strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents.

• Hands-on experience managing discovery and participating in depositions.

• Familiarity with litigation matters involving insurance coverage, liability, or related defense work.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present arguments clearly and professionally.

• Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
