Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Data Modeler / Data Architect with strong healthcare domain knowledge and expertise in data modeling, SQL, and modern data platforms. The role involves assessing legacy data ecosystems, designing scalable data architectures, and migrating legacy ETL and Alteryx workflows to Azure Databricks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing databases, data models, ETL pipelines, Alteryx workflows, and reporting dependencies.
- Design conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional data models.
- Develop target architectures using Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and medallion architecture.
- Create source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and migration roadmaps.
- Convert legacy data workflows into scalable solutions using SQL, Python, PySpark, and Databricks.
- Perform data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and quality checks.
- Collaborate with healthcare business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams.
- Lead technical workshops, proof of concepts, migration planning, and implementation activities.
Required Skills
- 10 years of experience in data modeling and data architecture.
- Strong SQL and hands-on data modeling experience.
- Experience with ERwin, ER/Studio, or similar tools.
- Healthcare domain knowledge, preferably Revenue Cycle Analytics.
- Azure Databricks, PySpark, Python, and Delta Lake.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- ETL migration, Alteryx workflows, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
- Strong stakeholder communication and technical documentation skills.
