As a Mechanic, you will perform repair work with efficiency and accuracy according to company standards. You will engage in minor repairs, parts replacements, and utilize tire machines and wheel balancers. Communication with the parts department is essential for obtaining needed components, and maintaining high standards of safety and service work is vital.
Responsibilities
- Execute repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform minor repairs and parts replacements.
- Utilize tire machine and wheel balancer effectively.
- Follow instructions from lead technicians and shop foreman.
- Communicate with parts department for necessary components.
- Tag and save parts under warranty or upon request.
- Examine vehicles for additional safety or service needs.
- Report additional work needs or discrepancies immediately.
- Document all work performed and recommended.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs.
- Inspect and test drive newly delivered vehicles.
- Report machinery defects or malfunctions promptly.
- Ensure cleanliness of customers' cars and shop area.
- Maintain dealership-owned tools and manuals.
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Operate tools and equipment safely.
- Report any safety issues to management immediately.
- Meet productivity and efficiency goals and KPIs.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Auto troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and preventive maintenance knowledge.
- Ability to diagnose automotive repair needs.
- Experience in diagnostic testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a repair shop.
- Familiarity with Pre-Delivery processes.
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company.

Work Environment
Work at the depot in San Francisco, supporting maintenance of incoming vehicles. The shift is from 2pm to 10:30pm, Thursday through Monday. Initial training involves a two-week program with a certified technical trainer in Arizona, accommodating class sizes of 6-9 individuals.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
