We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to support a semiconductor wafer fabrication and advanced manufacturing facility in Fremont, CA.
\n
This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining critical facility infrastructure, utilities, environmental systems, and production-support equipment. The ideal candidate has experience working in a semiconductor fab, cleanroom, or advanced manufacturing environment and is comfortable troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and facility utility systems.

Key Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility and production-support equipment.
- Support wafer fab operations by ensuring continuous availability of critical facility utilities.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair chillers, compressors, pumps, coils, RO systems, LN2 tank vessels, and related equipment.
- Diagnose HVAC and AC system issues and perform repairs or coordinate with outside vendors.
- Perform plumbing repairs, leak detection, drain clearing, fixture repairs, and other general facility maintenance.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting beyond basic lighting and fixture replacement.
- Access rooftops, mechanical rooms, and other facility areas to inspect and troubleshoot equipment.
- Monitor and expedite maintenance work orders to minimize production downtime.

Chemical & Environmental Systems
\n

- Support chemical inventory, storage, and replenishment for wafer fabrication operations.
- Respond to chemical deliveries and production-related chemical requirements.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, handling, and documentation of chemicals, gases, and hazardous materials.
- Coordinate hazardous waste collection, storage, documentation, and disposal.
- Monitor and support wastewater treatment systems; AWN experience is highly preferred.
- Maintain accurate environmental, regulatory, and manufacturing documentation.
- Chemical hazard training will be provided.

Safety & Compliance
\n

- Conduct routine safety inspections of fab, office, and production equipment.
- Support compliance with OSHA requirements and applicable building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes.
- Maintain accurate documentation for regulatory audits and inspections.
- Support facility safety, sustainability, and compliance initiatives.
- Coordinate outside vendors for specialty maintenance, repairs, and facility projects.

Required Qualifications
\n
- \n
- 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience within a semiconductor, cleanroom, or advanced manufacturing environment.
- 1+ year of experience working with hazardous materials, chemicals, gases, and/or wastewater treatment systems.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Experience maintaining chillers, compressors, pumps, and other facility equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system drawings.
- Working knowledge of applicable building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes.
- OSHA or related safety certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely work in mechanical rooms and rooftop areas.
- Ability to work 100% on-site in Fremont, CA.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience supporting a semiconductor wafer fabrication facility.
- Knowledge of semiconductor fab utility and environmental systems.
- AWN wastewater treatment system experience.
- Experience with chemical and hazardous waste management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance/work-order tracking systems.
