Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:45 PM (45-minute lunch)

Position Summary
\n
We are seeking an experienced and mechanically skilled Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment within a structural steel manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for helping ensure production equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational while minimizing downtime.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial production equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on cranes and hoists.
- Troubleshoot and repair welders and wire feeders.
- Maintain and repair forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on tractor trailers and related equipment.
- Support the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of CNC equipment, including plasma tables and plate processors.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential equipment failures before they result in downtime.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
- Replace worn or damaged components and make equipment adjustments as necessary.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including applicable Lockout/Tagout requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications
\n

- Previous industrial maintenance experience required, preferably within structural steel, fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar heavy industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
- Experience maintaining cranes, hoists, welders, wire feeders, and forklifts strongly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of tractor trailers and related equipment preferred.
- Operating or maintenance knowledge of CNC plasma tables and plate processors preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
