Salary Range - $120,000-150,000 DOE

Our client, is an innovative manufacturer of automation and packaging systems, specializing
\n
in conveyor lines, pasteurizing and cooling tunnels, and custom-engineered machinery for
\n
the food & beverage and manufacturing industries. Their equipment integrates advanced
\n
control systems to optimize production efficiency and ensure reliable performance.
\n
\n
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing custom conveyor layouts
\n
and packaging equipment using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. This individual will translate
\n
client requirements into precise 2D line layouts and detailed 3D mechanical assemblies,
\n
ensuring systems are efficient, manufacturable, and meet all performance and safety
\n
standards.

Key Responsibilities:
\n
\n
- \n
- Design 2D conveyor line layouts in AutoCAD.
- Create and modify 3D equipment models and assemblies in SolidWorks.
- Develop and document sheet metal components and fabrication drawings.
- Collaborate with project engineers and fabrication teams.
- Participate in design reviews.
- Support design-to-production handoff.
- Ensure compliance with safety and customer specs.

Qualifications:
\n
\n
- \n
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5+ years mechanical design in industrial/packaging equipment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for equipment design and facility implementation (line design).
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D).
- Proficient in SolidWorks (3D), sheet metal, mechanical assemblies.
- Strong fabrication and GD&T knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

- Packaging/conveyor equipment background.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, drives, industrial components.
- Familiarity with manufacturing/shop environments.
