The Staff Pharmacist will support a community retail pharmacy, reporting to the Pharmacy Manager and providing safe, accurate, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care. The role will emphasize immunizations, prescription dispensing, and medication therapy management while overseeing pharmacy technicians and supervising the full pharmacy team.
Responsibilities
- Verify prescriptions and dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
- counsel patients on medications, treatment plans, and appropriate use.
- Review prescriptions for drug interactions and medication safety concerns.
- Provide clinical consultation and medication therapy management.
- Administer immunizations and support related patient care services.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and complete pharmacy documentation.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and medication availability.
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and supervise the full pharmacy team.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
- Active pharmacist license.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in pharmacy practice.
- Knowledge of pharmacotherapy, medication safety, and drug utilization review.
- Experience with prescription verification and pharmacy information systems.
- Immunization administration experience.
- Strong patient counseling and clinical judgment skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.
