In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy of inventory and production costing data while supporting financial reporting, operational decision-making, and process improvement initiatives. To Be Successful in This Role, You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
- 2+ years of cost accounting experience within a standard-cost manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting, manufacturing variances, and cost analysis.
- Experience supporting month-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to evaluate material costs, inventory transactions, and production-related financial data.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- ERP system experience; Oracle exposure is beneficial.

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Support the accuracy and integrity of inventory records and manufacturing cost data.
- Maintain and update standard material costs while collaborating with procurement on cost trends and variances.
- Analyze inventory activity, identify unusual transactions, and provide actionable reporting to leadership.
- Assist in evaluating labor and overhead rates to support accurate product costing.
- Monitor inventory absorption and help assess reserve requirements where applicable.
- Participate in internal control activities and compliance-related reviews.
- Review work-in-process inventory, evaluate job closure accuracy, and analyze manufacturing variances.
- Support cycle count programs, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities.
- Prepare cost accounting journal entries and reconcile perpetual inventory balances to the general ledger.
- Assist with monthly gross margin reporting, inventory reporting, and various accounting projects assigned by management.
