Job DescriptionCOFFEE COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM Job Description General Education Teacher Assistant Responsible to: PrincipalTeachers Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent minimumMeet Highly Qualified Status as requiredStrong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skillsCompetent technological skillsAbility to adjust to varying tasks as assigned Essential Responsibilities:Assists teachers in classroom activities with students providing instructional assistance and support servicesPrepares requested materialsProvides individual or small group instruction to students in need of assistanceSupervises class in teacher's absence as neededProvides clerical support within the school as needed General Requirements:Follows Federal and State Laws and adopted policies and procedures in accordance with School Board prioritiesConducts oneself in the best interest of students, in accordance with the highest standards of public education and in support of the District's Vision/Mission StatementsMaintains ethical standards, which include professionalism and the protection of confidential student and staff informationOther responsibilities and/or duties may be required and assignedBOE Revisions Approved 2/
