Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily clinical operations, supporting and mentoring a team of medical assistants
- Room patients, record vital signs, and document chief complaints accurately in the EHR system
- Assist the physician with examinations, procedures, and patient care as directed
- Manage patient flow to ensure efficient scheduling and minimal wait times
- Administer injections, and process lab specimens
- Handle prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription refill requests
- Ensure exam rooms are properly stocked, cleaned, and compliant with infection control standards
- Serve as a point of contact for staff questions, training, and quality assurance
- Check in patients, insurance verification, setting up appointments managing phone lines
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred
- Prior medical assistant experience, preferably in a family practice or primary care setting
- Prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Strong vital signs, and clinical skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
