A healthcare facility in Berkeley, CA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support their pharmacy operations on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work full-time hours in a fast-paced environment with shifts available throughout the day.

Schedule:
- Shifts starting at 6:00 am, 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm
- 8.5-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately
- Support inventory management and medication stock replenishment
- Handle intravenous (IV) medication preparation, with an emphasis on safety and quality
- Maintain proper records and documentation in accordance with pharmacy protocols
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff to ensure smooth operations
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Prior exposure to IV medication preparation is highly preferred (minimum of 3 months experience beneficial)
- Pharmacy Technician certification or equivalent training
- Familiarity with pharmacy technology and prescription processing
- Ability to work efficiently in a team and follow protocols precisely
- Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
This contract role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills further while working alongside experienced pharmacy technicians. Candidates with some IV experience will be prioritized, although training may be provided for the right candidate willing to learn.
