Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery in Ukiah, California. Starting October 12, 2026, this 13-week travel assignmentoccurs in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,562 to $2,669, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 3x12-hour Day shifts. Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for labor and delivery patients according to established standards and the nursing process; monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to changes.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff at multiple levels, collaborating with obstetric, anesthesia, neonatal, and ancillary teams.
- Administer medications, manage IVs, perform fetal monitoring, and document care accurately in the patient record.
- Participate in discharge planning, provide patient and family education on labor, delivery, newborn care, lactation support, and post-partum care.
- Maintain a safe, healing environment; ensure infection control, patient safety, and adherence to unit protocols.
- Provide NICU support as required for day shift, including neonatal resuscitation readiness and collaboration with the Level II nursery team.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Education: BSN preferred
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
- Experience: Minimum two years of recent experience in labor and delivery or a related neonatal/obstetric setting; Level II NICU experience preferred for day shifts
- Skills: Ability to work the 12-hour day shift in a fast-paced obstetric/NICU environment; strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork
- Additional: Ability to work in Ukiah, California and participate in discharge planning and collaborative care with the care team
