Job Title: Repair Technician II
Pay: $20.43–$27.21/hr
Schedule: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Employment Type: Temp-Hire
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Repair Technician II to troubleshoot, diagnose, test, and repair electronic equipment returned from the field. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with strong electronics troubleshooting and soldering skills.
What You'll Do

Troubleshoot electronic equipment to the PCA or component level

Diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs, modifications, and rework

Perform fine-pitch soldering and surface-mount component replacement

Test and validate repaired equipment to ensure proper operation

Read and interpret schematics and manufacturing drawings

Document repairs, failure codes, and corrective actions

Identify recurring product or reliability issues and communicate findings

Use hand tools, electronic test equipment, computers, and other required equipment
What We're Looking For

2+ years of electronic equipment diagnosis and repair (4 years preferred)

Excellent soldering skills, including complex surface-mount components

Ability to read schematics and manufacturing drawings

Basic understanding of electronics theory

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Good written and verbal communication

Ability to use common hand tools and electronic equipment

Associate degree, technical school certificate, or equivalent education/experience
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hand tools, reach, and work with electrical equipment. Regularly lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
