Esthetician/Operations Manager
Client Services | La Jolla, CA | Full Time | Compensation: Base salary $70,000 plus gratuity, 5% service commission, 10% retail commission, $20 member/package sale, $5 Google Review Bonus, and on-going performance bonuses.
Effective Pay Range $90,000 -$130,000 per year

We’re looking for an Esthetician/Operations Manager who inspires greatness in their team by being a coach, motivator, and role model. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance people leadership, operations, guest experience while performing services on set days.
Your goal: Build a strong esthetics team, create a positive culture, and ensure every guest experience reflects FACE FOUNDRIÉ’s standards of efficiency, approachability, and excellence.

What You’ll Do
Lead & Inspire
-
Inspire, coach, and develop your esthetics team to deliver consistent, high-quality service
-
Build a positive, feel-good, and inclusive environment

Lead by example with professionalism, communication, and client care

Celebrate wins, build confidence, and cultivate a culture of kindness and accountability
Operations Management
-
Create and manage esthetician schedules, coverage, and performance using Boulevard. Provide coverage when needed.

Partner with ownership on hiring, onboarding, and inventory management
-
Ensure safety, sanitation, and service excellence at all times
-
Responsible for monitoring that all daily, weekly and monthly tasks are completed by team

Monitor timekeeping and ensure break compliance

Support Front Bar operations as needed

Monitor all client/staff communication across all systems

Ensure team members are following all the Employee Handbook Policies
Train & Grow

Lead onboarding and ongoing education for estheticians on FACE FOUNDRIÉ protocols, products, and retail performance

Facilitate in-store product and service training sessions with vendors and reps.

Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and skill evaluations
-
Identify individual development needs and create coaching plans to support growth

Maintain team accountability regarding performance and discipline policies
Client & Service Support

Perform esthetic services on scheduled service days to support coverage and maintain hands-on expertise

Ensure service consistency and elevated guest experience across the team

Manage guest concerns and escalations with professionalism and empathy
Business Performance

Strong ability to coach the team toward service, retail, and membership goals
-
Track KPIs including service revenue, retail performance, rebooking, retention, and productivity
-
Support performance improvement through coaching and accountability. Weekly Staff Score Meetings

Collaborate with ownership on marketing initiatives, events, and community engagement
-
Social Media oversight
What You Bring
-
California Esthetics License (required)
-
Education: High school or equivalent (required)
-
Availability to work evenings and weekends (required)
-
1–3 years of leadership or management experience strongly preferred
-
Comfortable with digital systems (Boulevard, Gsuite, training platforms, Google Drive)

Hospitality or high-touch customer service experience preferred
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and coach a team

A passion for skincare, service excellence, and people development
-
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks throughout the day

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly (stocking, inventory, light equipment setup)

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, modern, high-volume environment
