Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Pharmacist is needed immediately for a 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in the Elk Grove, CA area. This position requires a working Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) who is capable of managing both clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced hospital setting. This role offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule with shared on-call duties alongside PRN pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the working Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), overseeing pharmacy operations and compliance
  • Ensure accurate dispensing and verification of medications
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care in the rehab hospital
  • Participate in shared after-hours on-call rotation with other pharmacists

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid California pharmacist license
  • Hospital pharmacy experience required
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to serve effectively as PIC
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take on responsibility

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, daytime hours
  • On-call after hours, shared with PRN pharmacists

This contract position is set for 13 weeks with the potential to transition to a contract-to-hire role. Immediate availability is required for this critical hospital pharmacy opportunity.
