Job Description\n
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. This position involves working in various environments, including outpatient and inpatient settings, to provide high-quality therapeutic care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities\n

- Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of diagnoses, including orthopedic, post-surgical, neurological, and cardiac conditions.
- Administer therapeutic interventions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech Therapy (SLP), to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide patient education regarding therapeutic exercises and health maintenance.
- Document patient progress using electronic medical records (EMR) in Cerner Powerchart.
- Assist in training and supervision of rehabilitation aides and therapy assistants.
- Participate in departmental meetings and continuous professional development initiatives.

Qualifications\n
- \n
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting; travel and trauma experience preferred.
- BLS Certification required.
- Experience with bedside swallow studies and video swallowing studies is preferred for those treating speech patients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

Work Schedule\n
This position requires flexibility in scheduling, with shifts typically spanning 8 hours, within a Sun-Thurs schedule. Weekend requirements may vary, and specific shifts will be outlined at the time of requisition.

- Common patient diagnoses include orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and rehab cases.
- Facility may require coverage across various patient care areas.
- Orientation consists of 1.5 days specific to the position and unit, including Cerner training as necessary.
- Uniform includes a maroon polo shirt, dark-colored pants, and optional lab coat.
- Holiday shifts are not typically required.
