An opportunity exists for a licensed Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care at a 250-bed hospital in Redding, CA. This travel position offers a dynamic work environment supporting patient care through accurate medication order verification and collaborative clinical services.
Location:
- Redding, CA
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Variable days and afternoon shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders with precision and attention to detail
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize pharmacotherapy
- Participate in pharmacokinetic monitoring and adjust therapies accordingly
- Utilize Cerner and Omnicell systems for medication management and dispensing
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current California Pharmacist license required
- Experience in hospital pharmacy practice, particularly within a 250-bed facility
- Positive, adaptable attitude with a commitment to quality patient care
- Willingness to travel and work in northern California locations
- Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) residency completion strongly preferred
