The Landscaper will support residential landscape projects through installation, ongoing maintenance, and seasonal property care. Reporting to the property manager or business owner, this role involves minimal customer contact and focuses on maintaining attractive, healthy, and well-kept outdoor spaces throughout the year.
This role is part-time (4 hours per day, 5 days per week) for a 6-month assignment.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain residential landscapes, lawns, plants, and trees.
- Perform lawn maintenance, plant care, soil preparation, and irrigation maintenance.
- Prune trees and support seasonal planting activities.
- Complete leaf cleanup and year-round landscape maintenance.
- Operate lawn care and landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform site cleanup and maintain organized work areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3+ years of landscaping experience.
- Knowledge of landscape design, horticulture, irrigation systems, and plant identification.
- Experience with pesticide application, lawn care equipment, and hardscape installation.
- Physical stamina and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Heavy Lifting: Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing 50 to 80 lbs, such as soil bags, pavers, and equipment.
- Stamina & Mobility: Ability to stand, walk 5–10 miles, bend, kneel, and perform heavy manual labor in outdoor conditions.
- Tool & Equipment Operation: Strong hand strength and coordination to operate power tools, mowers, trimmers, and handheld machinery over extended periods.
- Outdoor Environment: Comfortable working on uneven terrain in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold) with daily exposure to dust, pollen, noise, and lawn care products.
