Qualifications:
- Valid teaching credential in Special Education
- Experience working with students in a K-12 environment preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP (Individualized Education Program) development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
- Creative problem-solver who is flexible and adaptable
- Familiarity with current special education laws and best practices
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective instructional plans for students with diverse learning needs
- Assess student progress and modify teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes
- Prepare and participate in IEP meetings, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and materials suited to the students’ abilities and interests
- Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support as outlined in IEPs
- Foster a supportive and safe learning environment for all students
