Manual Surface Grinder Machinist

Location: Oceanside, CA
Pay Rate: $25 to $27 per hour
Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Our exceptional and reputable client has sought our assistance in identifying a talented Manual Surface Grinder Machinist to join their team in Oceanside, CA.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist with a strong background operating manual surface grinding equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate manual surface grinding equipment safely and competently
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Plan grinding operations to make the best use of time
• Use knowledge of tool steel for optimal grinding wheel selection
• Operate vertical milling machines
• Use measuring tools and equipment to validate dimensional accuracy

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating manual surface grinders
• Tool and Die experience preferred but not required
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating manual vertical milling machines
• Lathe experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to work full shifts standing
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Employment Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen or Greene Card holder due to ITAR requirements and federal contract work
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check
• Must successfully pass a drug screen

This is a Contract to Hire opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent position after approximately 3 to 4 months, depending on attendance and performance.
