THE OPPORTUNITY
\n
We are seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 7+ years of litigation experience in general liability and/or professional liability defense to join our San Diego office. In this role, you will take a lead position on complex, high-exposure matters, serve as a primary client contact, and help mentor junior attorneys. This role offers a clear and defined path toward partnership for strong performers.

COMPENSATION
\n
Base salary: $175,000 to $220,000 depending on experience
\n
In addition, attorneys are eligible for:

• Annual subjective bonus

• Origination bonus (enhanced for senior associates)

WHAT YOU WILL DO
\n
• Develop and execute case strategy with minimal oversight
\n
• Serve as primary client contact and provide ongoing strategic counsel
\n
• Take and defend depositions, including experts
\n
• Handle court appearances, motions, mediations, and arbitrations
\n
• Draft and review substantive motions, pleadings, and case materials
\n
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff
\n
• Assist with budgeting, reporting, and case management
\n
\n
Billable requirement: 1,850 hours annually
\n
\n
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
\n
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school
\n
• Active member of the California Bar in good standing
\n
• 7+ years of general liability and/or professional liability litigation experience
\n
• Strong ability to manage cases independently with sound judgment
\n
• Proven success in motion practice, mediation, arbitration, or trial
\n
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
\n
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior attorneys preferred
\n
• Familiarity with Bay Area courts preferred
\n
• Interest in business development is a plus
\n
