We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler II to support shipping, receiving, production, and inventory operations. In this role, you’ll keep materials moving safely and efficiently throughout the facility while ensuring products are properly counted, labeled, scanned, stored, and delivered to the right location.
What You’ll Do
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect materials for damage or shortages, and complete required documentation.
- Pull, organize, and stage materials for production and shipping.
- Prepare shipping paperwork, including packing lists and bills of lading.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies to safely move materials.
- Load and unload trucks while properly counting, inspecting, and positioning materials.
- Use handheld scanners to track materials moving between storage, staging, and production areas.
- Return unused production materials to the proper storage locations and ensure they are correctly labeled.
- Move materials throughout the plant, yard, and designated work areas.
- Follow material pull lists and verbal instructions to identify and transport required items.
- Load and unload materials from pallets, racks, and shelves.
- Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Count and record materials moved during daily production pulls.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Perform daily area checks to help ensure the workplace is safe and ready for operations.
- Work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments to keep production running smoothly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous material handling, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or production support experience preferred.
- Experience operating a forklift and/or other material handling equipment.
- Comfortable using handheld scanners or computerized inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail when counting, labeling, scanning, and documenting materials.
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
