Key Qualifications:
- Current, active California Special Education Credential (Mild/Moderate).
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, with preference for background in K-2 or K-5 settings.
- Ability to individualize instruction, manage small groups, and work collaboratively with other staff and families.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to fostering inclusion, independence, and social-emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate disabilities.
- Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to provide cohesive support.
- Maintain documentation and regularly communicate progress with families and team members.
- Create a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment that supports academic and behavioral growth.
