Chipton-Ross is seeking a skilled General Maintenance Technician to join a leading aerospace and defense organization in Goleta, California.
If you're a hands-on professional with experience across multiple trades and enjoy solving complex facility and equipment issues, this is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-tech environment.
What You'll Do
As a General Maintenance Technician, you will perform routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and facility support activities across plant and office environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform repairs and maintenance involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, mechanical systems, painting, and general facility upkeep
- Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues and identify effective solutions
- Conduct inspections and determine required repair and maintenance work
- Perform light construction and fabrication work
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, layouts, and technical drawings
- Support sheet metal, plastic fabrication, metalworking, and machining activities as needed
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 years of related maintenance experience
- Experience across multiple skilled trades, including:

- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Structural repairs
- Painting
- General building maintenance
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Light construction experience
- Metalworking and/or machining experience
- Ability to lift and carry 40-50 pounds
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
