Job Title: Technical Lead, Manufacturing Line
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing
Duration: 12 Months – Possible Extension
Location: San Diego, CA or Northridge, CA
Shift: 1st Shift | Onsite
Role Summary
Seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer- Technical Lead to provide technical leadership for a medical device manufacturing line, supporting process validation, equipment reliability, product quality, NPI, capacity, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing process development, process validation, and equipment qualification.
- Support semi-automated assembly equipment, PLCs, machine interfaces, vision systems, and automation.
- Drive NPI, technology transfer, manufacturing scale-up, and product launches.
- Perform root cause analysis, corrective actions, change control, and statistical analysis/SPC.
- Improve OEE, yield, throughput, capacity, and scrap reduction.
- Support capital equipment and automation projects.
- Ensure compliance with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and company quality procedures.
- Provide technical leadership and collaborate with Operations, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Regulatory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- 7+ years relevant experience with Bachelor's, or 5+ years with advanced degree.
- Strong manufacturing engineering, project management, and technical leadership experience.
- Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
