Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Assembler II to join its San Jose team! This role performs intermediate to complex mechanical assembly tasks, requiring hands‑on experience with electro‑mechanical components and a solid understanding of PCBA integration processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret assembly drawings and documentation (BOMs, exploded views, ECNs).
  • Assemble mechanical subassemblies with PCBAs and wire harnesses into enclosures.
  • Apply torque specifications correctly using calibrated tools.
  • Conduct in-process checks for proper hardware installation and alignment.
  • Support troubleshooting and rework of minor mechanical issues.
  • May assist in prototype or engineering builds.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–4 years of mechanical assembly experience in a PCBA or electronics setting.
  • Proficiency in reading English technical documents and communicating in verbal/written forms
  • Use of torque drivers, calipers, and ESD-compliant tools.
  • Understanding of revision control, BOM structures, and ERP systems.
  • IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or equivalent preferred.
