Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract assignment as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting students from preschool through 8th grade at a vibrant school community. This position is for immediate coverage due to a medical leave, continuing at least through Winter break. You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference while collaborating closely with a dedicated SLPA and serving a diverse student population.

Key Qualifications:

Valid licensure and credentials as a Speech-Language Pathologist for schools
Prior experience providing school-based SLP services, including developing and writing IEPs
Familiarity with tracking student progress on IEP goals and billing procedures
Comfortable working in-person (no remote option)
Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 55 students
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students ranging from preschool to 8th grade
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with regulations
Track and report student progress on IEP goals, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
Participate in IEP meetings, including occasional extended hours
Work primarily at one school site, with a maximum of 2-3 sites, never more
Engage in collaborative planning with the school's SLPA and other multidisciplinary staff
Support students’ communication needs, fostering their academic and social success
