Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their growth and learning as a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis. Based near Fairfield, CA, this role offers the chance to deliver targeted instruction and personalized support to students with diverse needs in a dynamic educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience working with students who have mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication abilities with students, parents, and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement lesson plans tailored to individual learning goals and IEPs
- Provide direct instruction in small group and one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of student performance and IEPs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights to drive student success
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
