Make a difference working in a welcoming school setting as a paraprofessional specializing in supporting virtual speech sessions. In this full-time contract role, you'll play an essential part in the educational journey of K-12 students across a range of abilities, especially those within ESN (Extensive Support Needs) programs.
In this position, you’ll work hand-in-hand with speech-language professionals to ensure students receive the highest quality support in their virtual speech sessions. Your enthusiasm for helping others, adaptability, and readiness to contribute as a valued team member will be crucial to fostering student success.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience as a paraprofessional in school environments, or comparable support roles
- Eagerness and ability to assist with virtual learning platforms
- Comfortable bringing students to and from computer stations for online therapy sessions
- Proficient at printing and organizing instructional materials as needed
- Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
- Reliable collaborator who enjoys working as part of an energetic team
- Experience supporting ESN or K-12 caseloads is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students one-on-one and in small groups during virtual speech sessions
- Prepare computer setups and materials to ensure seamless virtual learning experiences
- Print and distribute session resources as directed by the therapy team
- Support and supervise students as they participate in online sessions
- Collaborate actively with educators, therapists, and team members to meet each student’s needs
