Make a meaningful impact by supporting students ranging in age from PreK to adult transition (3-22 years old) as a contract Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school environment near Riverside, CA. This itinerant position includes working across six campuses and directly collaborating with students presenting mild to severe needs. Your expertise will be crucial as you assess and serve a diverse caseload of 70-80 students, adapting to fluctuating needs while operating independently in the field.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active California Occupational Therapy license required
  • Previous experience in California school settings
  • Proficiency with BOT-3 and Peabody assessments for students aged 3-22 with multiple disabilities
  • Skilled in using data to address parent concerns and inform service recommendations
  • Excellent self-management and scheduling abilities; able to work independently with minimal district support
  • Comfortable managing a caseload without a cap, including ongoing assessments and consultations
  • Experience across K-12 and adult transition populations, from mild to severe cases
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, but not mandatory
  • Only licensed OTs considered—no OT assistants or supervised roles available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services and consultations as caseload and needs evolve
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions
  • Develop, manage, and adjust a personal schedule aligned with district priorities
  • Serve as a resource for parents and staff by interpreting data and supporting individualized program recommendations
  • Travel between multiple school sites to ensure continuity of care for all assigned students

This contract opportunity provides the flexibility to work full-time through the school year, fostering professional growth in a rewarding setting.
