Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience in marketing communications, technical writing, or content development
- 2 years of experience writing or editing in a regulated environment such as healthcare, health plans, insurance, or similar
- Ability to occasionally come onsite for in-person team collaboration, Sacramento area preferred
- Experience with compliance-driven, member-facing, or stakeholder-facing communications
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear, member-friendly communications
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple communication deliverables independently with minimal ramp-up
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience supporting health plan operations or payer communications
- Familiarity with CMS, state regulatory guidelines, HPMS, or healthcare compliance frameworks
- Experience partnering with legal, compliance, operations, marketing, and leadership teams
- Project management or vendor management experience
- Local to the Sacramento area or within reasonable commuting distance
- Experience with Medicare member materials, enrollment communications, or regulated health plan marketing
