Bilingual Legal Assistant / Paralegal — Personal Injury
Location: Van Nuys, CA — In person
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Pay: $68,000–$78,000 annually
We are a boutique personal injury law firm seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Bilingual Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support our attorneys and help manage personal injury and bodily injury claims.
Fluency in both Spanish and English is required. Personal injury experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Recent paralegal graduates and legal assistants looking to develop their case management skills are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
• Request, follow up on, and organize medical records and billing.
• Open bodily injury claims with automobile insurance companies.
• Organize client files and maintain accurate, current case information.
• Coordinate medical treatment and appointments, and follow up with clients.
• Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties regarding claims and documentation.
• Scan and organize incoming mail and documents.
• Assist with daily administrative and case management tasks.
• Take on additional personal injury case responsibilities as training progresses.
Qualifications
• Fluent Spanish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through on outstanding requests.
• Comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and learning new procedures.
• Professional and dependable when communicating with clients and third parties by phone, email, and in writing.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively with a team.
• Personal injury or bodily injury claims experience preferred, but not required.
