Step into a vital role supporting student success by providing expert psychological services within an educational setting. This contract opportunity offers a meaningful way to use your specialized skills, serving as an itinerant psychologist across multiple school sites in the San Juan Capistrano area. The position is part-time, requiring on-site presence for 2-3 days each week with a flexible start as soon as possible, extending through early June 2027.
As a bilingual psychologist, you’ll contribute to a team dedicated to high-quality, culturally responsive bilingual assessments for a diverse student population. Your expertise will make a direct impact on students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Current Master’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field
- Active PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) certification as a school psychologist
- Fluency in both English and another language to support bilingual assessments
- Previous experience working with school-age children and adolescents
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and with families
- Strong organizational skills to manage an itinerant caseload efficiently
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive bilingual psychoeducational assessments
- Interpret and communicate results to teams and families with cultural sensitivity
- Develop individualized recommendations and interventions as part of special education processes
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning
- Rotate between various schools as needed to ensure wide-reaching support
