This individual will manage technician performance, production metrics, and workforce planning while also participating in investigations, process improvements, and special manufacturing builds supporting R&D and clinical programs.

This position requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast paced startup environment. This position is primarily based in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment and requires routine interaction with production personnel, engineering teams, and quality teams. Occasional extended hours and weekend support may be required to meet critical production and clinical program milestones.

Key Responsibilities in Production:

· Monitor production output and proactively address bottlenecks impacting delivery commitments.

· Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, training, and employee development activities.

· Track and report key manufacturing metrics including throughput, yield, and labor utilization.

· Lead daily production meetings and communicate operational status to leadership.

· Develop action plans to improve manufacturing performance and capacity.

· Recruit and execute training plans for Implant Sewing technicians

Key Responsibilities in Engineering:

Collaborate with R&D, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to resolve technical issues and implement process improvements.

· Lead and support investigations related to Nonconforming Reports (NCRs), deviations, and manufacturing issues.

· Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

· Support Special Manufacturing Authorization (SMA) builds for R&D, verification, validation, and clinical programs.

· Identify and execute Lean Six Sigma projects focused on quality, productivity, cycle time reduction, and cost improvement.

Skills:

· Excellent communication and documentation skills

· Excellent technical and logistical problem-solving skills

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

· 2- 4 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally medical device.
