Job Description

Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity where your expertise as a school-based Occupational Therapist makes a daily difference for students ages 3-22. In this full-time, extended-school-year role, you’ll impact students across a range of abilities and grade levels, from PreK to adult transition, providing assessments, direct interventions, and consultations across multiple school sites. Your background in California schools and your ability to manage a dynamic, fluctuating caseload of 70-80 students will be central to your success.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active California OT license required
  • Prior experience in California schools necessary
  • Proficiency in administering BOT 3 and Peabody assessments for students with a variety of challenges and needs
  • Experience with caseloads spanning mild to severe disabilities, PreK through age 22
  • Strong ability to translate assessment data into actionable recommendations and effectively address parental concerns
  • Capacity to work independently, build your own schedule, and respond flexibly as district needs evolve
  • Spanish-bilingual skills welcomed, though not required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations and consultations at six school sites as itinerant support
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Manage a caseload that varies in size and complexity, ensuring all students’ needs are met as they arise
  • Maintain clear documentation and communicate progress with educational teams and families
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, while serving as the primary provider—no OTAs or direct supervision provided

If you are driven, self-motivated, and passionate about making a measurable difference in the lives of students across diverse settings, you’ll find this role both challenging and fulfilling. Ready to take the next step in your OT career? Apply now and start creating meaning and impact throughout the school year.

Compensation for this position ranges from $53.00 to $65.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
